On the edge of sleep, in the distance, muted thunder and the anticipation of the rain it heralds.. This is “After the Rain” from Bud the Fish:
Thanks for sticking around.
This piece, as well as the previous two, “Lullaby for the Faerie Queen” and “Serpent”, were/are candidates for a future EP/LP. There are a couple more tracks stuck in production; I was hoping to at least have their base tracks recorded before releasing anything, but I got tired of waiting. That’s how it goes sometimes..
Once again, I’m getting all kinds of mileage out of those guitar samples I used on “Left-Right-Center” and “Lullaby”, and once again Koala Sampler and AUM were the tools of choice. The guitar providing the samples was my 1988 Paul Reed Smith (yeah, it’s been around the block — definitely knows a thing or two ‘bout a thing or two...).
I think that’s it, that’s all I got for now. Got some life stuff happening, so the next track -- another almost-finished candidate -- won’t be released for probably two weeks, so stay tuned. Let me know what you think, if you have any questions about my music, how it’s made, etc., I’m all ears. Peace, my friends...
Dan
P.S. If you’re wondering where the heck is all the art stuff.. patience, my loves, once the life stuff gets dealt with, I will be more focused on the art. In the meantime, I’m posting doodles and mild snark almost daily for free on Substack’s Notes, so you should take advantage of that….

Nice, really calming 🙂👌
